Inspiration from the homeless of Boston!

One of the coolest things I’ve read in a very long time is an article from a Dutch magazine called ‘360’ that came out the 23rd of March. The article is about this literary magazine that is run by James Parker, who is a columnist for the Atlantic Magazine.

James tried to seek for reason in his life while making a pilgrimage with homeless people he met in a Boston cathedral. In the middle of the night, he woke up and thought; I’m going to make a literary magazine with articles written by these people and I will call it ‘The Pilgrim’.

And so it happened! From December 2011 Mr. Parker is running a successful literary magazine, that publishes ten times every year!

It’s a shame the magazine is very expensive to send out to Holland, otherwise, I would love to read how these homeless people write about their lives, their thoughts and their perception of the world!

Maybe it’s time Holland needs it’s own ‘The Pilgrim’?
