When I learned that Sophia Amaruso’s NY Times bestseller would become a Netflix series, I downloaded the book on my Kindle so fast I even impressed myself, not even knowing I would impress myself even more that afternoon by reading it cover to cover in just a few hours!
Sophia’s story is a modern fairytale (except for the shoplifting of course). Girl has a quarter life crisis. Doesn’t know what to do with herself. Shoplifts out of boredom (and screaming bills) and finally gets kind of sane when she gets caught with tampons (I am not even kidding).

I absolutely love books about evolving as a human being. Especially when it comes to young women like myself making their way to the top by being smart. So it wan’t hard for me to devour #girlboss.
You wouldn’t believe how many pictures I took of the book while reading, so I will post this too. All Sophia’s tips in the book are so modest and human. She was a ‘normal girl’ herself not so long a go and that makes #girlboss a hell of a read for women of any kind.
Sophia gives her honest but very blunt opinion about how to behave when you are planning to start a company yourself or if you want to climb the corporate ladder.
This book was so inspirational to me I immediately bought some other books by power ladies. I want more!!
